Phenomenon where corporate giants place themselves on pillars as white glove firms, but own subsidiaries that engage in tax fraud or other dubious behavior.
Test case AHP, affordable housing partners, an entity purposed to acquire tax credits. The AHP was caught aiding and abetting tax fraud on a historic project in Boston.
AHP by act and omission help Vision development inflate the construction budget on the project. This afforded them more credits to buy at a reduced price  everyone’s profits and John Q. Taxpayer get burned in the process.
